07 and a brand new 08

Hello peoples! I'm (Brina) in Fernie for the week, resting from a fantastic christmas holiday in Ontario. It's nice to just sit back and enjoy your time and space instead of running from one home to the next...as enjoyable as it is to see everyone I love back home. I do love them and appreciate any time I can spend with them...ohhhhhh the holidays...full of buts.

I miss my Albertine, who has been enjoying an island Christmas.

I hope you're all enjoying yourselves.

On a business note, the new website is coming soon!!!! Get yourself ready for greatness.

she's all grown up

I have big big big news...IT'S TEENIE'S BIRTHDAY!!

Our little Albertine is 31 and not afraid to go outside without putting her makeup on. Now that's a girl I want to keep in my life. She's the best! I hope she's having the best day of the year today, with her new Nintendo DS and her fancy pants birthmas song by her side.

If you want to hear what my brother and I put together for her birthday you're gonna have to wait until she's ready to share...so ask nicely.

LOVE YOU, LOVE MUFFIN!!

bring your sister to work day

My lovely brother dragged me to work with him today so I can get some work done while I'm in Ontario. Although I am on "vacation" I still have work to do. SIGH. Don't worry, I'll take some time off next week! and there will be laughter and games and fun and movies and stories and sleeping in!!!

Dwight's a too talented for his own good video editor and I get to sit in his editing suite and design wedding invitations. They go together like chap stick and dry lips. So far the day has been fun with coffee, a little show & tell and funny painted walls.

I sadly forgot my camera at dwight's place this morning, so I had to suck it up and take pictures by pointing my laptop cam at whatever it was I wanted to take pics of. Here's where I am today! Oh and that's my bro/bff.

Trilby and Mervin. Married July 7th, 2007

This lovely couple from England went all out for their invitations, website and reception designs. The theme is quite obvious, travel, which started with boarding pass ticket invitations. Here are their pretty freak'n cool wedding day designs...

(passport menu cards. The British crest was customized for them and the menu items are listed on the other side of this card)(luggage tag place cards)
(table cards listing cities Tribly and Mervin have visited)

wedding bells' prettiest invitations

We're pretty awesome!! Blue Skies and Daisies was one of the invitation designers included in the Wedding Bells "green cards" article in the Toronto edition of Wedding Bells. It looks fabulous.

Our pieces are the library card invitation rsvp and the bookmark.

B is for Bacon

Last Friday a few of us got together for breakfast at Paul's on Granville. It was nice seeing some of our friends all together in one fun little booth. Catching up, watching Chloe spazz in excitement, drinking lots of coffee and belting out some good laughs.

We're so lucky to know such awesome people.

aislewalk 2007

Another year, another set of drunk blue skies pictures in the photobooth.

:D

Thank you to Erin and Tammy, of Aislewalk, for inviting blue skies & daisies to their annual celebration for the new edition of Aislewalk! As always, our gracious hostesses were both beautiful and entertaining, plus they really do know how to throw a great party.

Congratulations to all our friends who won their awards and to everyone who's in the 2007 edition of Aislewalk, we wish you all a most blessed and prosperous 2008!

See you next year?

:)

like little children

My weekend was SO MUCH FUN! I love the snow. Over the past 7 months I have forgotten about this amazing thing called winter...atleast the first few days of a good snowy winter. I'm sure in a few weeks or less I'll be like I MISS SUMMER. We'll see. We'll see. Over the weekend I enjoyed all the things that snow brings, like hot chocolate, a good walk through the snow, snow balls, fireplaces, blankets and christmas carols.

Maybe I'm going too far with this.

What we were enjoying, on our winter wonderland walk, was kicking (gently) the snow from the tree and watching it fall on us like a tiny avalanche of funness.
