Renee and Mike took some time out of their married schedule to answer our 4 questions. We got to know them a bit over the months we worked together and even gave them their own nicknames. The Details

Our involvement: Cherry Blossom Ready2Wear wedding invitations.

Sarah and Erik ordered our cherry blossom invitations for their May 2008 wedding at Furry Creek Golf and Country Club. They were such an easy couple to work with. All Sarah wanted was a blue cherry blossom design. Easy!

Although we didn't get to spend too much time with Sarah and Erik, we enjoyed their visits and we were so happy they sent us a link of their wedding slideshow. What we found out, after looking through their wedding photos, is that they ordered a cake with the invitation design as inspiration for the chef.

Our involvement: Custom invitations, wedding website, place card stickers, menu cards, program cards, guestbook cards, decorative craft paper.

Carrie and Bradley worked with us exclusively via email back in 2005 (wow that seemed like yesterday) and the world wide web. It worked perfectly and we wish we could have had the opportunity to meet them as they were a hoot (as my dad would say.)

The stationery order just got bigger and bigger over time, which happens often when couples get a better grasp of what we are capable of doing. What I appreciate most is working with people who believe in our work and trust us enough to know and believe in their heart that they WILL receive their order when we're done and it will look beautiful. Carrie and Bradley believe in us.

Shawna and Don were married back in 2007 but we will never forget them. Shawna played a large part in making sure all her wedding stationery matched and created excitement for their classy Tofino wedding.

Shawna chose Bunny Love for all her wedding stationery, except for a few extra custom pieces that weren't included in our Ready2Wear packages. From website to invitations, she picked out exactly what Bunny Love photo she wanted where she wanted them and I loved her for it. Bunny Love will always be one of my favorite designs.

I was there on that exciting December morning when Trevor and Max went to Canadian Tire and we all experienced a minor mental spasm calculating how many strands of Christmas lights you might need to write "Will you marry me" in the snow. We underestimated quite a bit but that didn't bring Trevor down or change his mind about how he was going to pop the question. She said YES and on 08.08.08 they were joined with our friends and family for a Schenk and Mcewen wedding.

Mandy and Trevor wanted us to help them right from the start, as if they had a choice, and I was more than happy to let my family know how awesome Albertine and I are. Mission accomplished. It's also a pleasure to be able to help out family when you can, especially when it's something you love to do...(read on here)

Eileen wrote into our info inbox early August of 2007 looking for wedding invitations for her November wedding. There was definitely a sense of urgency that we all felt, as her wedding was coming up very quickly.

We booked a meeting right away so that we could meet and get started on the process without losing any more time. Eileen came into our office and with ease, decided that she liked our Ready2Wear Just Be Vibrant's simple, modern design...but could she have it in a custom layout? "Of course!" was our answer!

Rebecca and Brad were first introduced to us (and vice versa) by our friend and fantastic wedding planner, Erin, of Fuego Events. She was hired by them to plan their wedding and with her love of all things blue skies & daisies, she found it only fitting to tell Rebecca and Brad about our work.

We sat with Rebecca and Brad and immediately fell in love with the both of them, perfectly matched and witty to boot, we found the four of us laughing through the whole ordering process...

Massiel and John contact us earlier this year to help out with their wedding invitations. They were hosting a destination wedding in Tulum, Mexico, so they were sure about including colours from the ocean and a subtle tropical feel.

Their wedding photos, taken by Elizabeth Medina, are a true representation of how in love and dedicated these two are to eachother and their family. It looks like the party of the year!

This month we're gonna make Tara and Ian famous!! These two lovelies got married in Hawaii this April with a small group of friends and family. We got the photos soon after and wanted to share them with you.

Here are some photos from their destination wedding, including pictures of the stationery we custom designed for the occasion. I have to say it's really nice to be able to see photos of our couples' wedding day and how they have incorporated their stationery into the reception. It's like seeing them come to life.

Our Wedding and Fun Stuff Resources

Slowly over January we will be and have been highlighting some of the new stuff at Blue Skies and Daisies. Today I'd like to mention our resources section, completely renovated and expanded to the point of bursting. It's call The Wedding Season. We have always had a small list of recommendations and helpfuls but now it has become it's own entity...but powered by BSD.

There are a few main reasons for it's creation. One of the reason being, we wanted to provide an inspirational tool for our couples who want to discuss their wedding invitation ideas. We hope it will help pick wedding colours, choose your invitation wording, create a vision for your invitations and maybe even plant more ideas for the rest of the wedding planning.

Another reason being, we wanted to find another way to promote the talented people we have met over the past almost 5 years. This includes all sorts of businesses that are wedding and non wedding related. Options are very healthy.

It's clean and fun to read and every month it will be updated with a new featured wedding, recommendations for upcoming events or celebrations in the Vancouver area...or outside the vancouver area. We don't want to limit ourselves!! So check back often as Teenie and I will be adding more and more and more to this wonderful and free wedding resource.

We hope it helps! That's the super main #1 goal.
