As Is Stationery is putting makeup on...

wedding stationery
We're getting ready for the big Indie I Do show on the 17th at Heritage Hall. I have been mentioning it quite a bit lately because I think the show is going to be really fun and different than your average wedding show. Plus, Blue Skies and Daisies is going to be there. That's a huge plus!

On top of displaying our custom wedding stationery we are also going to provide you with the first big opportunity of purchasing our products "off the shelf." We're trying it out with just a few pieces but if you're interested in getting our work at a very good price, come on by...or just say hello. hello! We'll have table cards, place/escort cards, guestbook/note cards and thank you tags at our booth.

Have a wonderful weekend!
And we'll talk on Monday.

Amy and Brent • Reception Stationery

In October, we couldn't wait to show off Amy and Brent's Halloween wedding invitation. It was just TOO good to just put on the shelf and collect dust. You must be excited to know we have more stationery bits and pieces to show off from their wedding.

On top of ordering their wedding invitations, Amy and Brent's wish list included: menu cards, table cards, place cards and gift tags. Santa came early this year!

Plans are meant to be broken

Yesterday I uploaded PAGE 2 of our custom portfolio. I just didn't think there was enough of our custom work and as time goes by we work on more fun and unique wedding stationery, so there HAS to be room for more. The plan was to just show 20 custom weddings, but plans were meant to be broken. Wait. Is that how it goes? Still. There is a lot more to see. Hooray!

Breaking down the As Is stationery

Today I want to break down the As Is products (already printed and packaged Ready2Wear stationery) and explain a little more how they work and what they're all about. We can't just assume you know what our stationery is for.

Included in our As Is Catalogue are:

Place cards/Escort cards

placement:
usually placed either by the entrance or at the guest's seat at the reception venue.

directions: all our place cards are blank, so a lucky person (with the best penmanship) will get the opportunity to fill in the names and table seating information.

format: 3.25" wide x 1.25" high (folded, tent-style)

availability: we list our inventory numbers on the As Is online catalogue and each product is labeled by quantities per package and pricing per package.

bonus: there are a few special listings in the As Is catalogue which include table numbers on the escort card. Pretty cool!

Table cards/Table numbers

placement: at each table at the reception venue.

directions: all our table cards are numbered, mostly from 1-10 and up but each listing is unique and may have more or less.

format: 5.25" wide x 5.25" high (1-sided printing)

availability: we list our inventory numbers on the As Is online catalogue and each product is labeled by quantities per package and pricing per package.

Thank you gift tags/Favour tags

placement: attached to each wedding favour by string or any item that compliments your table decor.

format: 2.75" wide x 1.5" high, with hole punch on the top left-hand corner (1-sided printing)

availability: we list our inventory numbers on the As Is online catalogue and each product is labeled by quantities per package and pricing per package.

Guestbook Cards

placement: on your designated guestbook signing table.

directions: all our guestbook cards are blank. After the wedding, common uses are: placing them throughout the wedding photos, pasting them in a scrapbook or putting them all in a large frame...of course, you can do whatever you want with them. The leftover blank cards from the wedding are fantastic for note cards, possibly even thank you note cards.

format: 5.5" wide x 3.4" high (1-sided printing)

availability: we list our inventory numbers on the As Is online catalogue and each product is labeled by quantities per package and pricing per package.

We will constantly be updating these pages as the products become available and are sold, so come back often to see what we have for your party or wedding reception.

As Is Stationery Products

There are four stationery pieces available at this time, in various R2W designs:

1. place cards/escort cards
2. table cards (numbered)
3. guestbook cards and
4. thank you gift tags (with a punched hole)

Eventually we want to add thank you cards and thank you postcards. We have big dreams.

This lovely couple from England went all out for their invitations, website and reception designs. The theme is quite obvious, travel, which started with boarding pass ticket invitations. Here are their pretty freak'n cool wedding day designs...

Jen and Chris. Married March 31st, 2007

Now that I have time, I'd like to start showing some of the creative wedding reception designs we've worked on in 2007. We've had quite a few weddings this year, so I'll try and show you pieces that I think stand out a bit from the others. So many couples with their own brilliant ideas and it's so amazing to be able to offer them our services to make it all happen.

To start, I've got some designs from Jen and Chris, from North Vancouver, BC. Their invitation was very simple and set the tone for their Capilano Suspension Bridge wedding, but they had some really fun ideas for their reception.

Jen and Chris received permission to use an old Capilano Suspension Bridge photograph for their wedding designs. On the back of their ceremony program they listed a bunch of historical facts about the famous bridge. And why not?! It's fun and who doesn't love facts. I personally really do.

(below: The front and back of their ceremony program.)

At the reception, every guest received a trivia card with a question on one side and multiple choice answers on the back. I'm not exactly sure how they were used at the wedding, but I bet they included it somehow in a fun and laugh supplied way. Laugh supplied...does that make sense? Well anyways. It's done.

(Below: trivia cards, view of front and back)

On each table their was a table number and on the other side was a thank you note to all their guests along with a very important message. Very efficient. Robo would definitely approve.

(Below: table card/thank you)

And lastly, their table chart. I'm quite sure it looked better at their wedding than up against our office wall. But it's still pretty cool and big. 2' x 3'.
